Ruth Quinn
PSYCHOTHERAPIST & COUNSELLOR

MY PRACTICE AND APPROACH

I am an experienced and skilled psychotherapist and supervisor, with extensive experience in supporting people with depression, anxiety, grief and OCD. I have worked over the years with trauma and CPTSD and have a lot of experience in Attachment difficulties. I work to enable people to live more fruitfully and with greater ease.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

I have completed training in Hakomi (Body centred psychotherapy) and have a diploma in Person Centred Advanced Counselling and Therapeutic Skills. I have completed a Supervision Training and completed extensive training in working with Trauma and Developmental Trauma.

Most of my work is currently in the supervision of other therapists. I am an Accredited Registrant of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and a Registered member of the BACP. All supervisees must be part of a professional body to ensure they are working safely within their competency and capacity. If you are a therapist looking to work with a new or different supervisor, please do get in touch by either leaving a voicemail or sending an email; so that we can arrange a no fee discussion. I will be able to explain a little more about how I work and the rhythms of supervision.

WHAT I AIM TO ACHIEVE IN MY PRACTICE

Counselling is not an experience to undertake lightly. If this is your first time in counselling I will support and guide you through the process. The supervisory relationship is central to how we practice and how we grow and develop as Psychotherapists/Counsellors. It is therefore important to take time in choosing a supervisor with whom you feel comfortable and secure.

I will listen to you fully in your words, in your being and we will explore together ways of holding life that brings more joy and lightness to your days.
