Midge Whitelegg has been practising herbal medicine for over 20 years and is a Fellow of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).
In addition to seeing patients, Midge has taken an active role in the herbal medicine world, in education, research and politics. She spent 8 years on the Council of NIMH, as Director of Research, Vice President and President, working towards professional security and public responsibility without loss of the holistic caring base at the heart of complementary and alternative medicine.
Midge worked for the Prince of Wales Foundation for Integrated Health as co-chair of their research and development committee. She has a PhD from Lancaster University. Until recently she was a senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire, teaching on the BSc course in Herbal Medicine. She is currently working on herbal medicine research and Goethean approaches to plant study.’
