Osteopathy is a holistic approach to relieving pain and stiffness throughout the whole body. Other dysfunctions such as headaches, irritable bowl, High Blood Pressure, Hiatus Hernias may also be treated depending on their causes.

Do I Need To Be Referred?
No, as a private patient you can just ring 01524 69864 to make an appointment. Some health Insurance companies might require a referral by a GP or an Orthopaedic consultant. Please check your policy. As a registered Osteopath of 20 years experience, Mr Tisdall is an approved practitioner.
What should I wear?
We recommend that you wear loose light clothing with stretchy trousers such as tracksuit bottoms. You can wear these or bring them with you and change in private in your consulting room.
What should I expect when I come for Treatment?
You will be shown to a consulting room where Mr Tisdall will take a case history and ask questions about the nature of the problem and its background. There will be an Osteopathic examination which will involve Active and Passive Movement Tests and a Neurological Screening. This will be followed by a discussion of possible treatment methods and a treatment itself.
Following the treatment patients may be advised on diet, exercise and lifestyle management.
Patients are advised to phone in if they experience any unexpected reaction to treatment.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Mr Tisdall's average number of treatments is between 2 and 3. However, if patients require long term treatment, costs may be adjusted accordingly.
How Long Is A Treatment Session?
Most treatments take around 50 minutes but may range from 30 minutes to over one hour depending on the problem.
