Alexander Technique Teacher
I discovered the Alexander Technique whilst training as an actor. I worked in Theatre and Education for 15 years before training as a teacher of the technique at Fellside Alexander School in Kendal, Cumbria.
I now live in Kendal and practice from Staveley Natural Health at Staveley Mill Yard and Dacrelands Clinic in Lancaster.
Areas of particular interest to me are:
Some people will come for lessons because they have backache or some other pain. The technique has a very good record with these sorts of issues. Others come with a project of some kind such as a stressful public speaking engagement or a work-related issue. I have found that whatever the initial point of contact, lessons will help a person to widen their awareness of the 'bigger picture', thus having a positive effect on all areas of their life - most people find that the thing they first came about wasn't such a big deal after all!
