Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy massage is a combination of natural essential oils obtained from plant extracts, together with a gentle massage it improves physical and emotional well being: A complete holistic approach and treatment. Essential Oils are highly volatile, yet safe and gentle, and are absorbed into the blood stream and circulatory system. After the initial consultation, a selection of oils will be blended for your specific need together with the massage technique suitable for your treatment.

An Aromatherapy massage will relax tissue, increase blood flow, and aid the elimination of toxins. Essential oils are beneficial for a wide range of conditions and provide a stimulating tonic to the Nervous System. They also have a positive effect on skin, muscle, and tissue as the circulatory blood flow increases. Essential oils create a balancing effect on the hormones within the Endocrine System and promote the production of white blood cells which strengthen the Immune System. A treatment will usually last up to an hour depending upon the client's needs.

Remedial and Therapeutic Massage

This treatment includes the manipulation of the soft body tissue: skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. I use a deep massage technique to work on specific damage, immobility, and areas of knotted tension. Alternatively, reduced pressure can be applied to stimulate circulation, reduce stress, and eliminate tension. This is a beneficial treatment which consequently induces a sense of relaxed well-being.

Sports and Deep Tissue Massage

A specifically tailored sports massage will help reduce the risk of injury and promote flexibility to joints and muscle groups. Whatever your sport - mountain biking, decathlon, marathon runner, horse riding, fell walking or a session in the gym, a sports massage can be a beneficial tool for physical maintenance.

Whether, pre or post your sporting event or physical activity massage improves performance, mentally and physically. Rehabilitation massage will aid the natural healing process following over-use or injury. A regular maintenance of deep sports or remedial massage is beneficial for injury prevention and improving health and flexibility for performance at all levels.

Reflexology

Feet display a variety of clues which mirror the image of what is happening inside the body. This can be an incentive to adjust and restore the damage on the outside: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Reflexology is the stimulation, by way of pressure techniques, which work on reflex points on the feet that link every organ and system in the body. Using controlled pressure with the hands to break down crystal deposits, it unblocks the nerve pathway circuits allowing them to flow freely. As a result, this causes physiological changes to take place and consequently encourages improved health and vitality.

The treatment lasts an hour. It is used to treat a large number of problems through the whole system. For example, it aids circulation and disperses the build up of crystal deposits for relief with urinary and digestive problems, and muscular tension. Stimulating the nervous system it relieves stress, removes toxins, and relaxes the whole body in the process.

Treatments at regular intervals help maintain a balanced state within the body, offering a therapeutic option for those not wishing to experience massage.

Ear Candling

This is a natural, non-invasive, relaxing treatment dating back thousands of years. The candle is 12 inches in length, slim, pliable, hollow, and cylindrical. It is made of Organic Honey, Pure Beeswax, Sage, and St. John's Wort and it offers strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. The Chamomile encourages a relaxing and restorative effect on the nervous system. The candle is not the solid household candle with a wick, and running with hot wax that many envisage.

While the client lies on their side, the candle is placed in the ear and held by the therapist throughout the treatment. It creates a warm and gentle suction action, generating a massaging effect and drawing out impurities from the ear. The treatment, combined with a light facial massage over the sinus area if wished, can bring beneficial relief to earache, excessive wax, sinusitis, tinnitus, neuralgia, pressure problems, swimmer's ear, vertigo, dizziness, and many more problems
