Osteopath | Acupuncturist | Bowen Therapist

My practice and approach

Depending on the wishes and needs of the patient we like to use a combination of Osteopathy and Acupuncture. My wife is qualified in massage and often works with me on patients, warming up areas that need to be manipulated or breaking down adhesions and tight tissue.
We have a great deal of experience in treating all types of pain and stiffness everywhere on the body. We realise that most dysfunctions result from posture, accidents and stress but in short we treat people coping with their everyday problems.

I am also trained in Cranio-Sacral Osteopathy and the gentle Bowen Technique. Patients are encouraged to express their thoughts on the style of treatment they prefer. We have a great deal of experience in treating mothers and young babies as well as the more elderly.

Qualifications and experience

I am a member of the General Osteopathic Council and the British Medical Acupuncture Society and have been in practice since 1988 when I founded Dacrelands Clinic. I also have a degree in the Philosophy of Education and have experience of running courses in Anatomy, Cranial Osteopathy and four day health retreats exploring: “The Principles of Health.”

What I aim to achieve in my practice

Our patients want to be pain free and able to take part in their chosen activities. They like to feel supported and looked after and that they have access to treatments and advice which will help them on their way.
